These Payment Terms explain how payments are processed on Payge, the platform available at payge.store. They apply to merchants using Payge to create storefronts and accept payments, and to buyers who pay through Payge-powered merchant stores.
Payge is a platform operator and is not a bank, payment institution, wallet provider, or seller of merchant products. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment partners as described below.
1. Payment Processor
Payments on Payge are processed by Razorpay. Razorpay securely handles checkout, payment authorization, payment method processing, settlement, payment failures, refunds initiated by merchants where supported, and chargeback workflows according to Razorpay's own terms and policies.
2. How Payments Flow
When a buyer purchases from a Payge-powered merchant store, the payment flow is:
- The buyer completes checkout on the merchant's Payge-powered store
- Razorpay processes the buyer's selected payment method
- Successful payments are routed through Razorpay
- Funds are settled to the merchant's linked Razorpay account according to Razorpay's applicable settlement schedule
3. Merchant Razorpay Account
Merchants must connect and maintain a valid Razorpay account to receive payouts for transactions made through their Payge-powered stores. Merchants are responsible for completing Razorpay onboarding, KYC, bank account verification, compliance checks, and any other requirements imposed by Razorpay.
If a merchant's Razorpay account is incomplete, suspended, restricted, or incorrectly configured, payouts may be delayed, blocked, reversed, or otherwise affected according to Razorpay's policies.
4. Settlement Timelines
Settlement timelines are governed by Razorpay's standard settlement schedule and may vary based on payment method, merchant risk review, holidays, banking systems, compliance requirements, chargebacks, refunds, or account restrictions. Payge does not control Razorpay's settlement timing.
5. Supported Payment Methods
Supported payment methods are determined by Razorpay and may include UPI, cards, net banking, wallets, and other payment methods Razorpay supports from time to time. Availability may vary by merchant account, buyer location, transaction type, risk checks, and Razorpay configuration.
6. Currency
The primary transaction currency for Payge-powered stores is Indian Rupees (INR). Payge may support other currencies in the future where Razorpay and applicable law allow such processing.
7. Prohibited Transactions
Merchants must not use Payge or Razorpay to sell illegal goods, counterfeit products, fraudulent services, or any goods or services restricted by applicable law, Payge's Terms & Conditions, or Razorpay's acceptable use policy.
Prohibited or restricted categories may include items such as unlawful products, counterfeit goods, regulated goods sold without required permissions, misleading services, or any category Razorpay does not permit. Payge may suspend or remove stores that violate these requirements.
8. Chargebacks and Disputes
Merchants are responsible for handling payment disputes, buyer complaints, evidence submissions, chargebacks, reversals, penalties, and related losses for transactions on their own stores. Payge may facilitate communication or provide technical information where reasonably possible, but Payge does not absorb merchant chargeback losses.
Buyers may also have dispute rights through Razorpay, their bank, card network, UPI provider, or wallet provider. Those processes are governed by the relevant financial institution, network rules, Razorpay policies, and applicable law.
